Unlike most of the floral online stores, Just Knock Knock will guide the user through the steps to purchase or subscribe to the products they recommend. Therefore the “How it works” section is placed at the prominent position at the Home page to educate the users about the purchasing flow.

The first step is to choose the style of the front door. A Progress Bar at the top clearly indicates the stage of the ordering process and set the expectation of the users about the steps ahead.

The second step is to choose the amount of sunlight the plant will be getting. It may be an easily ignored element by most users when they choose their plant. The illustration of each option are hugely useful in explaining this concept which can be not easy to describe in words.

Thirdly the user needs to choose the planter. Since it is not included in the purchase, this message is placed right below the title that should catch the attention of most users.

The fourth step is to input the zip code in order to determine whether the delivery is accessible. In case of any inapplicable address, it will be better to let the user knows at this stage rather than after the user has already inputted a huge amount of details at the Check Out page.

On the summary page, the product recommendation is visualized. If the user exit the purchasing flow, the recommendation will be saved and the user can come back to this page to resume their purchase.

The user can choose recurring (for the season) or one-time purchase. By default, the recurring mode is pre-selected to encourage the subscription.

The newsletter signup box is placed just above the footer.

The product recommendation flow in the mobile view is easy to follow since the information in each step is condensed and concepts are most paired with photos or illustrations.
